
Agnes Lee was the pen name of Martha Agnes Rand (1868-1939), an American poet and translator.[1]
Life[]
Lee was born in Chicago, the 2nd daughter of William H. Rand, founder of Rand McNally publishers. She was educated in Switzerland. In 1900, she married Francis Watts Lee, and settled with him in Boston. She returned to Chicago in 1911, when she married Otto Freer, a Chicago surgeon.[1]
She died at home in Chicago of pneumonia. She is buried in Chicago's Graceland Cemetery.[1]

Lee won Poetry magazine's Guarantor's Prize in 1926.[1]
