David T. Graham (born 1953)[1] is an American poet and academic.

Life[]

Graham was born and raised in Johnstown, New York,[2] the son of Nora K. and George A. Graham.[3]

He attended Johnstown High School, where he met his wife, artist Lee Shippey; they were married in 1975.[3]

He earned a B.A. summa cum laude, majoring in English literature and Creative Writing, from Dartmouth College in 1975; and an M.F.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts Amherst MFA Program for Poets & Writers in 1980.[4]

He has taught English since 1987 at Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin, where he became a full professor in 2001.[4]

He has published 6 collections of poetry, as well as poetry and short stories in numerous literary magazines.

Recognition[]

In 1996, Graham served as poet in residence at The Frost Place in Franconia, New Hampshire.[3]
