E. A. Woodward (born 1858?) was an American poet who wrote sonnets and acrostic poems.
Life[]
There is little available information on Woodward's life. He is known for only a single published collection of poetry, Sonnets and Acrostics, published in Dayton, Ohio, in 1916.[1]
The 1930 U.S. Federal Census shows a "Eugene A. Woodward" living in Montgomery, Ohio, in 1930, married to Mary A. Woodward. His year of birth is given as 1858, which would have made him 57 or 58 when Sonnets and Acrostics was published.[2]
