Emelius Felix Smith (1778 - 8 October 1803) was an Anglo-Indian poet and soldier.
Life[]
Little information is available on Smith. Apparently he was born in India and educated by his father. He and a brother served in the Marhatta Army, Emelius enlisting as an ensign; he was a captain at the time of his death in battle. His Fugitive Pieces were published anonymously.[1]
