Gene Derwood (1909-1954) was an American poet and painter.

Life[]

Derwood was the wife of the poet and anthologist Oscar Williams.

The couple lived in the penthouse of an office building on Water Street.[1]

Recognition[]

The Lilly Library of Indiana University holds a collection of her letters.[2] Harvard University also holds archival material.[3]
