Malka Heifetz Tussman (also spelled Tusman) (1893-1987) was an American poet who wrote in Yiddish.
Life[]
Tussman was born in the Ukraine, and immigrated to the United States in 1912 joining family members in Chicago. She also lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and in California.[1] She worked as a teacher of Yiddish language and literature in the Midwest and the West.[2]
Writing[]
Tussman introduced into Yiddish 1 of the most rigid verse forms, the triolet, and mastered another, the sonnet corona.[2]

Recognition[]
Tussman was awarded the Itzik Manger Prize for Yiddish poetry in Tel Aviv in 1981.[2]
