A nonet is a stanza form consisting of nine lines of verse, most usually (in English) of iambic pentameter (IP).
The most famous nonet in English is the Spenserian stanza, which consists of eight lines of IP with a concluding Alexandrine, and a rhyme scheme of ababbcbcc.
It is not to be confused with the nonnet , which is a syllabic verse form.
