Poetry 180 is an anthology of 180 poems archived at the Library of Congress.

Poetry 180 was a project undertaken by Billy Collins during the time (2001-2003) when he served as Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress. Collins had the idea of an anthology geared to high school students.
Collins personally selected the poems; he kept the list at 180 poems, 1 for each day of the U.S. school year. Says Collins: "They are intended to be listened to, and I suggest that all members of the school community be included as readers.... Listening to poetry can encourage students and other learners to become members of the circle of readers for whom poetry is a vital source of pleasure."[1]
The anthology is available as a book and a CD, as well as online.
Its success gave rise to a sequel, 180 More, also edited by Collins (available only in book format).[2]
