Sir Thomas Herbert Warren (1853-1930) was an English poet, academic, and college administrator.
Life[]
Youth and education[]
Warren was educated at Clifton College school.
He entered Balliol College, Oxford in 1872, becoming a fellow of the college in 1877.[1]
Career[]
He was president of Magdalen College, Oxford 1885-1928, and served as vice-chancellor of Oxford University 1906-1910.[1]
Recognition[]
Warren was elected Oxford Professor of Poetry in 1911, and served until 1916.[2][3]
