William Amphlett (?1775-1819 fl.) was an English poet and editor.[1]

Life[]

Amphlett lived in Birmingham and Wolverhampton, England.[2] He worked as editor of the Staffordshire Advertiser.[1]

As of 1819 he had emigrated to the United States, and was living "on the banks of the Ohio" River.[3]
