Yaseen Anwer (born June 30, 1989) is an English-language Indian poet.

Life[]

Anwer was born in Patna, India. His father is a doctor and mother is a housewife.(Citation needed) Yaseen's primary education was in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. He attended Dr. Radhakrishnan International School in New Delhi followed by Jamia Senior Secondary School.[1]

Anwer has been published in anthologies alongside A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Gulzar, Ruskin Bond, Deepti Naval, Shashi Tharoor, Irshad Kamil, and Kapil Sibal. His work has appeared in more than 60 national and international magazines and journals.[2]

Anwer is also the founder and managing editor of Poets Corner Group. The group, established in June 2011, now has many members from across the world, and has printed anthologies wherein hundreds of poets have been published.[3][2]

Recognition[]

Anwer is the winner of the "Young Poet Award 2012" by the Indian Poetry Society.[4]
